our chosen newspaper

When you were young, who choose your books?
your parents?
Or do they allow you to roam in libraries picking your fav. Spider man comic or pictures reading books?

Well for me, I chose my own books.

See, parents does not mean they understood their child's interest totally.
Thus, parents always had the responsibilities of what the child SHOULD learn, so of course the books they've chose might be enrichment BUT borrrring.

If you wan to cultivate reading habits, let your child choose their books.

Looking at what our society having now.
Educated youths with all their OWN mind and hate to be taught.
The more you help them to 'choose' what they should read, the more they retaliated in having it.

A sad case, isn't it?
Our youths nowadays do not read from the newspapers.
And where do they read?
yes yes, see....
That’s why blogs are getting so popular....

Was it the method? If youths wan to read online, then ST should start a blog....
write the news in a more 'easy digest' form.
Well the fact is, you want to bring the news across to the public, ain't you.
So as long as you achieve this aim, why care about the medium you use?

It kind of sad that youths turn to blogs for news...
Because that is only a piece of NEWS from the understanding of this blog owner.
It is ONLY HIS or HER's perception towards and news.
Its not fair reading in anyway.

I’ve read a few blogs that are rated the quite popular kind...
Wow.. their 'special fantasy languages' ... erm.. I mean vulgarities.....
Aside from being crude, it is VERY ENTERTAINING!

That should be what it is....
Reading should be interesting!

No no, I do not mean to say that we should spice up our news to make it seen like a clown or reading like Cinderella stories.
but the style should change.

the lengthy, wordy, black and white....
argh... (hey hey.. isn't blog the same? lengthy.. wordy and black and white??)
oh yes, of cos ... but the easy understandable language and the correct word to bring up the
Emotional heights of the story...
it allows the readers to discuss and voice their views. how nice..

OH I KNOW!!
Since I dun see our news media having a blog...
I COULD START ONE!

yes.. I could write out the story (in a more easy understandable language)
and perhaps a few of those interesting but not the headline news to others....

Oh... yes, I tried my best to read newspaper everyday.
but... it is not ST... cos its really very boroooring...
and I have to read what my dad reads... (he buys newspaper everyday)
and my dad only read ri bao or wan bao...
because its Chinese, with BIG pictures and colorful headlines...and pictures.
